Environmental Contractor Operations
How ECO CONNECT handles information in the ECO Connect platform. This describes what the software actually does today.
Effective September 14, 2026 · Version 2026-09-14
Owner note: the business address is still a placeholder and must be filled in before launch.
ECO Connect is operated by ECO CONNECT. Business address: [TO BE COMPLETED BEFORE LAUNCH]. Privacy contact: EnvironmentalContractorHR@gmail.com.
Account information you give us: email address, password (stored by our authentication provider, never visible to us in readable form), your name, and whether you are a worker or a company.
Worker profile information: preferred name, photo, phone, city and state, years of experience, trade, bio, skills, availability and availability dates, current and previous employers, preferred rotation, home airport, driving radius, willingness to travel or relocate, resume file, and yes/no answers about having a REAL ID, a passport, and being able to lift 50 lbs. We do not ask for and do not want copies of driver's licenses, passports, Social Security numbers, bank details or medical records.
Company information: company name and type, contact title, business phone and email, street address, website, year founded, team members and their company roles.
Work records: job postings, applications and invitations, project assignments, timesheets and hours, approved hours, UXO/MEC logbook submissions and entries, certifications and their uploaded documents, expenses, receipts and receipt images, shared timesheet/expense documents, and personal budget entries you create for yourself.
Company-private records about workers: employee files, internal employee numbers, private notes, rehire status, emergency contact details, and company-uploaded employee documents.
Technical information: session cookies and local storage used to keep you signed in, and standard server request logs.
To operate the features you use: signing in, showing your profile to companies you engage with, matching you to jobs, running timesheets, expenses, receipts, projects, budgets and the logbook.
To send service email: account confirmation, password reset, invitations, job match alerts, credential review requests, and document sharing notifications.
To keep the platform safe: reviewing abuse reports and investigating fraud or misuse.
We do not sell personal information. We do not run advertising networks on ECO Connect.
A company can see your worker profile when you apply to their job, accept their invitation, are assigned to their project, are on their employee list, or when your profile is visible in the workforce directory (which requires your profile to be verified and your availability not set to 'not looking').
Documents and hours you send to a company — timesheets, expenses, receipts, certifications, shared documents — are visible to that company once sent. Sending is your action; we do not send them automatically.
Receipts and budget entries you keep in your own wallet are private to you until you submit them.
Internal employee numbers, private employee notes, rehire status, emergency contact records, company-uploaded employee documents, bid numbers and amounts, contract values, profitability and overhead figures, and other workers' expenses are restricted to authorized members of that company. Other companies cannot see them, and workers cannot see another company's private records.
These restrictions are enforced by database access rules, not only by hiding things in the interface.
Uploaded files — resumes, certification documents, receipts, logbook pages, avatars, company employee documents — are held in private storage. They are not served from public, guessable web addresses; access is granted through short-lived authorized links only to people entitled to view them.
We describe only what is implemented. We make no claims of certification, audit, accreditation or regulatory approval.
We store yes/no answers about REAL ID and passport possession, plus travel preferences, because companies need them for mobilization planning. We do not store the documents themselves, and uploading government identity documents to ECO Connect is prohibited by our Acceptable Use Policy.
We use cookies and browser local storage to keep you signed in and to remember interface preferences. These are essential to the service.
See the Cookie Policy for detail.

The platform runs on hosted infrastructure and uses a hosted database, authentication, file storage and email delivery provider, and an AI service used to read uploaded receipts and logbook pages you choose to scan. These providers process data on our instruction so that the features work.

Deleting your account removes your login and the personal information ECO Connect has no legitimate reason to keep. Verified work records and company-owned business records are preserved with only the minimum identity information needed to keep them meaningful.
Login and account — deleted: Your sign-in is disabled immediately when you close the account, and your login credentials are removed by ECO administration to finish closure. You can no longer access ECO Connect.
Profile details — deleted: Photo, bio, contact details, location, skills, travel and availability answers, airport, rotation preference, resume file, saved per diem rate.
Personal preferences and activity — deleted: Saved jobs, personal projects, notification settings, personal budget entries and per diem settings, profile-view history.
Unsent files — deleted: Receipts and documents still in your own wallet that were never submitted to a company, and their stored files.
Verified professional record — kept, reduced to the minimum: Verified UXO/MEC hours, approved logbook entries, approved timesheets and project assignments stay intact as evidence of the work, keeping only the identity information needed for that record to remain meaningful and verifiable — your name and the verifying company. Everything else personal is stripped from them.
Company business records — retained: Records a company owns — employee file, employment history, submitted expenses and receipts, shared documents, job applications and invitations — remain with that company as their business record.
Safety and audit trail — retained: Abuse reports, admin decisions and legal acceptance records are kept so platform safety history stays reviewable.
Anything unclear — flagged for review: Where ownership or a retention requirement is genuinely uncertain, the record is flagged for human review instead of being destroyed.
You can start deletion yourself from Profile → Privacy and data. Deletion is confirmed before anything happens, and the same list above is shown to you first.
